A mod in 2000s
I want to create post apocalyptic mod in 2000s. How could I do that?
I would start with a plan; which countries will be in the game, is the mod going to be a submod of an existing one (Old World Blues, Millennium Dawn, etc.), what is the reason the world turned upside down (gives you a good basis for a lot of the stuff you will add to focuses/events; e.g. America nuked us, so we will destroy them)
Then you get to coding. You'll need to:
- Change scenarios, so the start date(s) are what you want them to be.
- Alter any countries that exist to ensure they have the state(s) you expect them to have.
- Create focus trees & events for the countries.
- Create new tech trees, so they fit the theme of your mod (unless making a submod)
- Create new history files for all the countries; so they fit in with your mod, and maybe have some of the new tech researched.
Which scenario I should choose? Is it Kaiserreich, Endsieg or Basegame? By the way I want to do a non-submod. We could change the date when we make a mod for base game, right?
Probably base game.
After you have created your scenarios to have different start dates and changed the tech tree, you may need to edit the country files' start dates (unless you intend to only have 1 start date)
